Preserving Jewish Memory. Bringing history to life.

Centropa's November 1938 site places the historical events of 1938 in Austria, including the March 1938 Anschluss, the Kristallnacht pogroms, and the beginning of anti-Semitic persecution, into the context of Jewish witnesses testimonies and by doing so makes history tangible. On 16 November 2026, Centropa Hungary will host a commemorative event in Budapest dedicated to the memory and legacy of Judit Kinszki, marking the first anniversary of her passing. Read Judit Kinszki's story on our IMAGINE project page.

"ENGAGE: Jewish Women from Greece and Germany in the 20th Century” was a project funded by the German Foreign Office through their German-Greek Future Fund. Aimed at strengthening the understanding between Greek and German civil societies through intercultural exchange and cooperation among eight university students from Greece and Germany. The “10 Polish Cities, 10 Jewish Stories” exhibition is permanently hosted by the Galicia Jewish Museum in Kraków. 

The biographies paint a vivid picture of Jewish life in Poland: some of the men and women featured grew up in large cities, while others came from shtetls - small towns with significant Jewish populations. 

A graphic novel about two Jewish girls, who grew up in Rivne, now part of Ukraine.
