This picture was taken on my wedding day, 6th August 1939, in Thessaloniki.

We got married at the Matanot Laevionim, which was an organization that gave food to poor children and a synagogue at the same time, and they did weddings. For our honeymoon we were initially going to go abroad but ended up going to Athens and then Corfu because it was the eve of World War II.
