Roza Benveniste

Roza Benveniste

This photograph of me was taken in the mid-1930s. This is not my daily attire but on this day we had gone on an excursion to a village outside of Thessaloniki and a girl from the village offered her traditional costume for me to wear and be photographed wearing it. This specific costume is a traditional costume of the Greek Orthodox women of Northern Greece.
