This is my brother Lev Kopelovich with our cousin, Sofia. The photo was taken in Vitebsk in the 1930s.
He completed only nine years of a Yiddish school in Vitebsk and then the school was closed. So he only got nine years' education.
My brother worked here in Riga, and was the head of a foundry. But at first he didn't know Latvian. The workers only spoke in Latvian but he still managed. My brother sent for me and got me a job in Riga, too.
Lyova left for Israel in 1992, but he died in 2000. My brother's son is now a doctor in Netanyah.
