Lev Kopelovich with his cousin Sofia

This is my brother Lev Kopelovich with our cousin, Sofia. The photo was taken in Vitebsk in the 1930s. He completed only nine years of a Yiddish school in Vitebsk and then the school was closed. So he only got nine years' education. My brother worked here in Riga, and was the head of a foundry. But at first he didn't know Latvian. The workers only spoke in Latvian but he still managed. My brother sent for me and got me a job in Riga, too. Lyova left for Israel in 1992, but he died in 2000. My brother's son is now a doctor in Netanyah.
