Reghina Herscu as a bride

This is a photo from the wedding of Ilie Herscu, one of my father's brothers. You can see the bride, Reghina Herscu and also the daughter of the best man who is holding the veil. They got married in Campulung la Tisa in January 1937, so the picture was taken then. They were wedded by one of my father's sisters, Nety. My father, Burah Herscu, had two brothers and a sister. Ilie was born in 1906. He was a grain merchant, like my father. he married a woman named Reghina who was from Campulung la Tisa [Northwestern Bukovina] and spoke German fluently. I can tell you that she, her sister and mother stayed in Campulung and were deported to Transnistria; her mother died there and her sister returned.
