Marika Krpez's father Lazar Deutsch´s birth certificate

Marika Krpez's father Lazar Deutsch´s birth certificate

The birth certificate of my father, Lazar Deutsch. It is written that he was born in 1906 and that he was an ?Israelite.? The document was issued in 1916. My father Lazar was born during his father Mor's second marriage to Regina (Holtzer). He was nicknamed Lazi and went to a Jewish elementary school. He went to school in the time of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, when they studied in Hungarian. In 1918, when Yugoslavia was created, he had to continue in a Serbian school because according to the laws of that time Jews had to go to Serbian schools. My father never learned Serbian and that is why he was a very bad student. Every grade he either had to repeat or he had to take mandatory retests.
