Marika Krpez's cousin Herman Deutsch on the island of Java
The picture was taken in March 1911 on Java Island in Tegal. This is a paternal cousin, Herman Deutsch. Next to him is his servant. I never learned how and why Herman was on Java but it always interested me.

Centropa Collection acquired by USHMM
