This is a photo of John Herscovici with his wife (I don?t remember her name), sent to our family from USA, California, where they lived, in 1946. I think they are in front of their new house there.
John Herscovici was one of my mother?s, Dorina Fiul's brothers. He was born in Bacau in 1988, and he left for USA in 1912, with the first emigrants. He was married at the time with this Jewish woman, they had a daughter, Fannee. I know that he worked in California as draughtsman at a ready-made clothes factory. He kept in touch with us for as long as he lived; he died there some time in the 1950s, I don?t know exactely when.
