Elvira Kohn with a friend

This is one of the rare color photos that I have. It was taken relatively recently, some time in the 1990s.

I am the one on the right, and the other person is one of my friends. We are sitting on the balcony of my apartment. I don’t know who took this photo, it was probably another friend who came to visit me.

I live in a small apartment in central Zagreb, and I’m very happy to have a balcony. There are some trees in the street where I live, and so I joke with my friends that my balcony is my summer house.

I don’t have a summer house on the sea or anywhere in the countryside, so when some of my friends go away from Zagreb, I say that I will go to my summer house, that is onto the balcony. I enjoy sitting on the balcony when the weather is fine.

Across the street from my house is a high school, and many pupils pass by my house every day. It is nice to see them, and to hear young voices.
