Alzbeta Friedmann and relatives

This photo was taken in 1939 in front of my sister Lujza Wohlwert's house. My youngest sister Alzbeta Friedmannova is standing second from right. She was born in 1926 in Presov. She was killed in Treblinka in 1942, only 18 years old. My little nephew Herbert, maybe one year old on this photo is second from left holding the hand of my sister's maid who was taking care of him. She is the woman with a scarf on the head. Lujza, in front of whose house the photo was taken, finished an accounting course and worked as a clerk before World War II. She married Bela Wohlwert. In 1942 they were deported to Auschwitz where they were killed in the gas chambers. Little Herbert was the son of my sister Anusa and her husband Sandor Abrahamovic. Anusa was deported to the ghetto of Lublin. That's where she died. Her husband and son died in Treblinka.
