Meine Schwester hieß Amalie Lilli Hoff, geborene Mandel, und wurde am 14. Mai 1906 in Wien geboren. Sie durfte nicht maturieren, mein Vater hatte das bestimmt, weil er glaubte, für Mädchen sei die Matura nicht wichtig. Nach der Schule erlernte meine Schwester den Schneiderberuf und besaß dann im 1.Bezirk in Wien, in der Wollzeile, einen Schneidersalon.
