Mapping Jewish Memory brings together students and teachers from seven European countries to explore Jewish history and Holocaust remembrance through local stories and sites of memory.
Participants research significant Jewish sites, work with Centropa’s collection of interviews and photographs, and develop digital stories, audio walks and short films. Through workshops, walking tours and international exchanges, they connect local histories with a broader European perspective.
The project’s key outcome is a collaborative multimedia map, integrated into Centropa’s MemoryLanes app, which makes these stories accessible to a wider audience and creates new, engaging approaches to Holocaust education.
