This photo was taken in 1933 at the children's party in the park in Riga on Ligo or Jan's Day, a national holiday in Latvia. There were games and entertainment for children. I'm the first on the right, with a white ribbon. My cousin Mikhail Wolpe, Mama’s sister Ida's son, is on my left. And there is Glika Freidus, Mama’s sister Ida's daughter. She was visiting us then. I don't know the other children. That was a group of children taking part in a contest, and we were photographed together.
