Slovak uprising

This is a photograph of me together with other soldiers during the Slovak National Uprising in 1944.

My brother and I didn't go to a concentration camp, we went into the uprising [2] and from the uprising to Bratislava and to Hungary. In September 1944 we left for Budapest. We were in Budapest when we learned that the war was over.
