This photo was taken in Plovdiv, probably in front of the shop where my uncle Eliezer Levi, my mother's brother, was employed, or was the proprietor. The photo was taken in the 1930s. I don't know the other men on the photo, but he was a very handsome man - tall, well-built, and he married a very beautiful woman from Pazardjik. He probably wanted to accentuate that he was a fabrics merchant and that's why the shop's sign is seen.
