Roman Barskiy in the kindergarten

I, Roman Barskiy, in the kindergarten in Kiev in 1939, underneath the portrait of Stalin, eighth from the left. The meeting was dedicated to the liberation of Western Ukrainian regions. The inscription on the poster reads: XXII Anniversary of October--Our Loud YAHOO!

I was at a special kindergarten of the 'Communist' plant and the Writers' Union. It was located in a big orchard. There were lots of toys. I remember a party in 1939 when the Soviet army entered Western Ukraine. The boys dressed up as tank men, pilots, and cavalry men. We were happy, and recited poems dedicated to Stalin under a big portrait of him. We believed that Stalin heard us.
