This is a photo of me, taken at the time when I took part in the film ?Tobacco? in the 1960s. It was based on Dimitar Dimov's novel of the same name. This is probably the best film I?ve had a role in. It was directed by Nikolay Korabov, starring Nevena Kokanova and Yordan Matev.
However, it seemed that I wasn?t made for the cinema, my good roles were those in theater - ?Maria Stuart? by Schiller, ?A holiday in Arco Iris? by Dimitar Dimov, "The Stone Guest? by Pushkin, and others. I can remember quite well ten or fifteen roles that I had, as well as my excellent colleagues and directors. I've always had good relations with my colleagues - I?ve never been envious of someone else's role, talent, or intelligence. And I have been respected for this quality of mine. This is one of the very few things that give me the self-confidence of a good human being.
