Leon Solowiejczyk with his second wife Danuta Solowiejczyk

This is my second wife Danuta Solowiejczyk, nee Truszkowska and me. The photo was taken in 2003 or 2004 at the Jewish community in Lodz but I don?t remember on what occasion. I got married in 1956. My first wife Janina, nee Lesiak, died in 1994. Of cancer. I remarried five years later. I remarried five years later. My second wife, Danuta Truszkowska, was born in Petrykozy, in 1945. She was also a widow. She was also working in the officers' club. We met through a common acquaintance. Her husband had just died. We talked, well, we were a match and that's how we've been living until today. My wife is a Catholic, but she's not too religious. I don't mind it. Well, she sets up Christmas trees for Christmas. She has granddaughters, they invited us for Christmas Eve. Why should I not go? I've come in contact with many religions, not just Catholics. So I feel well here, I can say. And, well, if you've managed to live such a long life, then you should really thank God.
