This is me conducting the famous women's string orchestra, which I conducted for ten years; the orchestra fell apart at the end of the 1970s. During those ten years we had annual concerts and invitations for guest performances abroad, awards from festivals of chamber music and a lot of tours. This photo was taken in 1977 during our guest performance in Sassari, Italy. We went to perform in Italy a number of times and the audience liked us a lot. That women's string orchestra was gathered from three theaters, which had a big orchestra: the Sofia People's Opera House, the State Musical Theater and the Youth Theater in the capital. We regularly performed in the famous concert hall 'Bulgaria' in the center of Sofia. We had our regular audience. We were proud of having people who admired us.
