Iyah Dziekovskaya with a group of tourists

This is me, Iyah Dziekovskaya, (the third from the left in the first row) with a group of tourists on the ruins of a 13th century castle. This photo was taken in Sigulda in 1974 during my summer vacation in Latvia. Our tour guide who was showing us around the national park photographed us.

In 1970s I worked at the Odessa Refrigeration Institute a scientific employee. I liked to go on trips during my vacations. Sometimes my sister Inna took me on tours abroad and in our country with her. We went together to Bulgaria and the Caucasus. In summer 1974 I went to Latvia alone. It was a wonderful journey.
