Ferenc Sandor's great-uncle Andras Vago in World War One

My grandmother´s brother. He was named Andor Fogel but magyarized his name to Andras Vago. It is not easy to say what his father, my great-grandfather Beno Fogel, did for a living, because he worked at various jobs in various places. My grandmother was born in Mezokovacshaza. In those days the family was so poor that they had to move from village to village in the hope of earning a better living at a different place. But by the time I was born, they owned a house and a small store in Megyesegyhaza; later a tavern, too. Fourteen children were born to them and nine lived to adulthood. Of the nine, three were boys.
