Appraisal of good behavior in school

I received this appraisal in 1929 in elementary school for being a good and diligent student. I attended the Jewish school at no. 44 Wesselenyi Street. I went there until the third form (of secondary school). I was taught well at the school. There was Hebrew language and literature. We learned from the Bible and prayer books, different songs, prayers. We also did translations and we had to know all sort of things, but after finishing school we didn't have to deal with those things much further. After secondary school I went to the Jewish commercial school on Bethlen Square, where I attended a year of commercial studies. We learnt shorthand, typing and bookkeeping there too. I first worked at the office of a lawyer, who was an acquaintance of my father. Later I got into a glass and china store; I worked in the office there as well. I did the invoices, and had to do a lot of other things.
