"Zwischen Sowjetstern und Davidstern" - eine halbe Million jüdischer Soldaten kämpften im Zweiten Weltkrieg an der Seite der Sowjetunion, von denen mehr als 200.000 ihr Leben verloren. Arnold Fabrikant, geboren in Odessa am Schwarzen Meer, ist einer dieser Veteranen, die dazu beitrugen, das nationalsozialistische Deutschland zu besiegen.
Von den Anfängen des Krieges im Osten mit dem Überfall auf die Sowjetunion im Jahre 1941 bis zur Befreiung Berlins im April und Mai 1945 nimmt uns Arnold Fabrikant mit auf eine Reise durch die Geschichte des Zweiten Weltkriegs.
Nach dem Krieg heiratete er und ließ sich wieder in seiner Heimatstadt Odessa nieder, wo er bis zu seiner Pensionierung in einer Wodkafabrik arbeitete.
