I went to school and had all excellent marks, as usual. I became a pioneer in evacuation and now I joined Komsomol and took an active part in public activities. At one time I was chief of the Komsomol unit of our school. My mother went to work as a nurse in hospital.  Since I was used to helping around in hospitals I went to my mother’s work almost every day after classes. I washed floors and helped patients.
