My grandparents prayed quietly in their room. It wasn't possible to follow the kashrut at that time. There was no place selling kosher food. My grandfather David and my grandmother Sophia went to the only synagogue in Podol [8]. My parents understood their religious needs, but they didn't allow them to involve their children in any religious activities.
