Later my father told me that he used to work while he was still a child: he used to buy walnuts, break them and sell the nuts. So he had some money put aside. Once, when the family was without money my grandmother asked him to give her the money he had saved. She wanted to give it to her husband so that he could buy something. And my father asked his mother when she would return the money. She didn’t say anything but one day she went to him and told him, ‘Eshua, I heard that your father was distributing money and he said aloud that he owes you money, which means that he will pay you back, don’t worry.’ But my father was convinced that his father would never return that money. And he was right.
