The synagogue attacks in 1986 [see 1986 Terrorist Attack on the Neve-Shalom Synagogue] [36] and 2003 [see 2003 Bombing of the Istanbul Synagogues] [37] were terrible. Innocent people unaware of anything were killed. We lost friends in both incidents. We felt so sad, and miserable.
