I remember Pesach. We always sat down to the table as a whole family. Modestly, modestly we ate that meal. 'Mah nishtanah halaylah,' I still remember that prayer. No further, that's all I remember. Father always said it first, and then the children repeated it - 'Mah nishtanah halaylah.' I remember that several times just like that we celebrated that holiday, solemnly. Into the 1930s, in 1936, 1937, but not after that, there weren't the conditions, because that apartment was so very, very cramped.
