Mi Dor Le Dor - Hebrew for “from generation to generation”- Europe (MDLDE) is a follow-up project to the successful MDLD Poland and MDLD Italy initiatives. The project seeks to adapt innovative methodologies for Jewish heritage and culture education across Europe. MDLDE is a cooperative project organized by The European Association for the Preservation and Promotion of Jewish Culture and Heritage (AEPJ) in partnership with the Warsaw-based Taube Center for Jewish Life & Learning Foundation.
Additional partners include Centropa, the Jewish Heritage Network, Centro Sefarad Israel, Fondazione per i Beni Culturali Ebraici in Italia, Brama Grodzka TNN, Routes du Judaisme Rhénan, and the Jewish Community of Athens.
The project is co-funded by the European Union under the Citizenship, Equality, Rights and Values – Remembrance (CERV-2023-CITIZENS-REM) programme.
Kick-off meeting
Centropa is proud to be included as a project partner on MDLDE. The head of our Germany office, Fabian Rühle, participated in the Project Kick-Off meeting in Barcelona and Girona in May 2024, holding a presentation on Jewish Memory Education.

Training event in Berlin

In September 2024, together with the AEPJ, Centropa hosted the final training event for MDLDE in Berlin, Germany. The event brought together trainers to exchange insights and strategies on Jewish heritage, education, memory and the fight against antisemitism.
Participants also explored Berlin’s most significant Jewish site, including the former Jewish district, the Old and New Synagogues, and Jewish Cemeteries.
