IMAGINE: Active Remembrance Through Jewish Women’s Stories

IMAGINE - Active Remembrance Through Jewish Women’s Stories is a continuation of the HerStories-project. It was created with the belief that remembering personal stories of Jewish Holocaust survivors is a powerful way to promote knowledge about Jewish life but also the Holocaust. By exploring the biographies of 10 Jewish women who lived through the 20th century, Centropa seeks to make Jewish life meaningful and relatable for young Europeans. The project goal is to use this deeper understanding to support and raise awareness for the EU Strategy on combating antisemitism.

Aiming to reach as diverse an audience as possible, this project is a collaborative effort involving key partners such as Centropa (Germany & Hungary), the Galicia Jewish Museum (Poland), the Center for Education Policy (Serbia), HERMES (Croatia), The International Commission (Lithuania), The University of Patras (Greece) and JewLif (Germany).

The IMAGINE project is generously supported by the European Union under the CERV-2024-CITIZENS-REM Call.
