Zygmunt and Dziunia Bard

These are my friends from Luban, Dziunia and Zygmunt Bard. He is Jewish, Dziunia is Polish. They got married in Bialystok. Presumably this is their civil wedding photograph. On the back it says: ?as a token of sincere friendship for Leon and his wife from Zygmunt and Dziunia.? Zygmunt had been on the front from Sielc all the way to Berlin. In the rank of second lieutenant. He graduated from the officer training school in Ryazan. And then he was sent to Luban; I don?t know when, but for quite a long time we even lived in the same apartment with Zygmunt. Dziunia used to come round to our apartment quite often, as his fiancee. And he didn't stay in the Polish Army long; he was dismissed even before me. He was a factory owner's son, you see, and they didn't keep people like that in the army. At least not officers. He came from Kostopol, which is in Ukraine today. After his dismissal he went to Bialystok, and then to Lodz. I visited him once in Lodz, and he us in Luban - that's when he gave us this photograph. I don?t know where he is now.
