This is my mother Shprintse Altman with her kindergarten class. My mother is sitting at the table - she's the second on the left, with a ribbon in her hair. This photograph was made in Kamenets-Podolsk in 1923-1924. My mother was born in Kamenets-Podolsk in 1919. The local rabbi issued her birth certificate and we still have it. My mother went a mixed kindergarten. for Ukrainian and Jewish children. Their teachers treated all children very well.
