This is my grandmother on my mother's side, Welikomirskaya. This photo was taken in Kiev in the 1910s.
I don't know my grandmother's first and maiden name. I know very little about my grandparents on my mother's side. They died before I was born. I guess, they died in the early 1920s. The Welkomirskiy family wasn't religious. At least, I can't remember my mother ever telling me about any religious traditions in their family.
My mother was their only daughter. Her parents weren't rich but she received a good education.
