This is a photo of my elder brother Samuil Rivikin. The photograph was taken in 1942 in Kokand (today Uzbekistan). While in evacuation in Tashkent, Samuil entered a branch of the Voronezh Aviation College. He had studied there for half a year, and then all the students of his course were taken to the army, to a Navigation School in Kokand.

The Centropa Collection at USHMM
