A record with Jewish songs

This is one of many records, which my brother and I listened to in our childhood. There is a Jewish song ‘Di hasene in der kazarme’ - ‘Wedding in a barrack’ on this vinyl, Epelbaum sings, Freidenberg plays the piano. We had a gramophone, at that time it was very fashionable and my parents bought a lot of records. I still keep them. My brother and I listened to music including Dad's Jewish records.

I even have a record with the Jewish song ‘A briv dem haver Voroshilov’ about Voroshilov. I remember the following lyrics: ‘To Klim Voroshilov I have written a letter, comrade Voroshilov is a people’s commissar…’ [The legendary marshal of the Soviet Union Kliment Efremovich Voroshilov took part in the Second World War]. We loved heroes very much, of course.

I danced a lot at home that was why my parents placed me in the ballet school, but I did not turn out to be a ballerina. Then my parents bought my brother and me a violin, they wanted my brother and me to study music, but this also was not successful.
