This photograph I sent to my mother from Ikaria Island where I was in exile. On the back I wrote ‘To my dear mother. For her to see how well I am. Your son. Moisis.’ The others were from Thessaloniki, members of ELAS, the resistant organization in Greece. First on the left standing is Kyriakos from Kilkis, who took part in the Battle of Kilkis. Second on the left standing is an Armenian named Agop. Next to him is Nikos Stefanidis from Thessaloniki.
