Igor Brover’s father Yakov Brover during his mandatory military service

This is my father Yakov Brover during his mandatory military service. This photo was taken in Bobruysk in 1936. My father sent us this photo as a postcard. On the back side he wrote in Russian with grammar mistakes. From 1936 till 1938 my father was a soldier in the Red Army. When the Finnish war (1939-1940) began, my father was recruited to the army again. He was a first sergeant in infantry. He had his feet frost-bitten there and returned home with big red toes.
