Frida Palanker’s and her friend Fima Barsky

My friend Fima Barsky and I.

I began to meet with Fima Barsky, my classmate's older brother. Fima was two years older than I. He was a very nice and smart boy. He came from the Jewish family of teachers. I liked him a lot. We were thinking of getting married in a year or two, but the war broke our plans. Fima was mobilized during the first days of the war and perished soon afterward.
