Clara Foldes' certificate for a defense course

This is a certificate issued to me in Alba Iulia in 1940 for a defence course. I started a two months defense course as a volunteer in 1938. I spent the first month in Turda. We had both theory and practical classes. I learned to use a shotgun. There was an officer who trained us. His name was Pitic and he was very accursed. I couldn't finish this course because after the first part Jews weren't allowed anymore, so I was sent home. I cried all the way back home from Turda. I finished the first part in 1939, by the time I had already been accepted in Alba Iulia as a teacher at the Jewish elementary school.
