Chane Rohl Ushpitsene

Chane Rohl Ushpitsene

This is my mother Chane Rohl Ushpitsene. The picture was made in Shakai in 1910s.

There is hardly anything I know about my mother's relatives. The matter is that my mother died when I was two. Her death was caused by some complications after parturition. Maternal grandparents were not alive and I even had no idea what their names were, they were from , and what they did for a living. My mother's name was Chane Rochl. She was born in 1892. In 1924 she gave birth to a girl who had lived only for couple weeks. She did not get better after parturition she had some infection. Father said that she did not go outside. At times she cried that everything was burning inside of her. Mother insisted that she should be taken in Germany as her cousin had his own clinic there. Father took mother there, but it was too late. She died.
