This is a picture of me with my new-born son, Piotr Borowicz. It was taken in Katowice in 1949.
As for my wedding, Gustkowicz, the priest and my schoolmate, arranged everything. My wife Janina and I were immediately allotted an apartment on Powstancow Street, as until then I lived with my parents on Ligonia in Katowice. I was building a power plant at the time. We lived there until 1950 when we moved to Rybnicka Street. Piotrek was born on 11th February 1949.
