She holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, is a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT), and earned a Certification in Holocaust Pedagogy from Queens University in 2024.

Brittany has a longstanding relationship with Centropa. She attended her first Centropa Summer Academy in Vienna, Sarajevo, and Zagreb in 2014, followed by academies in Warsaw in 2015 and Berlin in 2019, where she also served as a panelist. She served as Centropa’s North Carolina Coordinator, supporting the organization’s work with educators throughout the state.

Her professional training in Holocaust education includes serving as an Echoes & Reflections Teacher Leader, as well as participating in programs through Brandeis University’s Institute on Israel and Antisemitism, Yahad-In Unum, and the Holocaust and Jewish Resistance Teachers’ Program. Her professional study and training have included experiences throughout Central and Eastern Europe.

In addition to her classroom experience, Brittany has designed and facilitated professional development for educators on Holocaust education and pedagogy. She has led sessions through UNC-Chapel Hill’s Worldview Conference and Duke University, among other professional settings.

As Centropa’s representative on the East Coast, Brittany will work with museums, Holocaust education centers, public school districts, and Jewish Federations to design, prepare, and lead professional development seminars, webinars, and conference presentations for educators across the East Coast, and recruit for the Summer Academy.
