You're about to meet men and women who grew up religiously observant or in secular homes. Some lived in big cities, others in shtetls (villages with large Jewish populations). A few were upper middle class, most were relatively poor or working class.
Seven of our narrators remained in Poland after the war, one made a home in Leningrad/St Petersburg, and two settled in the United States.
