Teacher training seminar in Lublin

Centropa is organizing a teacher training seminar in Lublin from May 16-18, 2025. Together with our partners, Galicia Jewish Museum and Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre, we will bring together 25 Polish educators and civil society multipliers to discuss and share best practices on teaching and commemorating 20th Century Jewish history and heritage, on Holocaust education, and on promoting tolerance and active citizenship.

The program is funded by the European Union as well as the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.

During the seminar we will present you with Centropa's educational materials for Poland, for example the exhibition '10 Polish Cities, 10 Jewish Stories', and the biography of Anna Mass, who was born in Lublin, and you will learn about the educational work of cultural institution Grodzka Gate – Theatre NN. We will also organize a historical lecture by a renowned expert, and guided tours through Jewish Lublin, to locations of Aktion Reinhardt, and Majdanek State Museum.

Our seminar will allow you to get acquainted with Jewish cultural and historical heritage, connect and network with your colleagues from across the country, and share your own pedagogical experience of teaching about Jewish history and the Holocaust.

The call is open for Polish educators and representatives of Polish NGOs. The conference languages will be Polish.

Centropa will cover accommodation and food during seminar hours. Travel costs are covered by the participants themselves.
