On March 12-24, we welcomed 25 Lithuanian teachers to our teacher seminar in Vilnius.
Seminar participants discovered Centropa’s educational resources while focusing on Lithuanian-language biographies and photos.
Some highlights from our program included:
- The screening of the documentary film about Ranana Malkhanova, ‘A World Destroyed, a World to Remember’
- A guided visit of the Gaon Museum of Jewish History
- Workshops in Jewish traditions and customs
- Visit of Paneriai Memorial, including participant learning activity
- A guided tour of Jewish Vilnius using Centropa’s AudioWalk
Methodological workshop using the stories of Masha Rolnikaitė, Fania Brantsovskaya, and Chasia Spanerflig
Our training seminar in Vilnius was organized in cooperation with our local project partner, the International Commission for the Evaluation of the Crimes of the Nazi and Soviet Occupation Regimes in Lithuania, and the Vilna Gaon Museum of Jewish History, and generously funded by the Claims Conference and the Good Will Foundation.
