Dr. Katarzyna Suszkiewicz

Katarzyna Suszkiewicz is the head of the Education Department at the Galicia Jewish Museum in Kraków. She graduated from the Institute of European Studies at the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Jagiellonian University, and obtained a doctoral degree in social science in the field of political science.

She cooperated with the Center for the Holocaust Studies at the Jagiellonian University, leading the different programs and seminars. She was involved in various research projects connected with European heritage and the Holocaust. She also worked at the Jewish Community Center in Kraków. Katarzyna is a member and vice-president of AntiSchemes 2 Foundation since its beginning in 2014 and is involved in cleaning and inventorying the Jewish cemeteries. Her research interests are: the Holocaust, the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, the issues of material heritage, remembrance and the usage of cultural space.
