Dr. Diana Dumitru
Dr. Diana Dumitru ist Ion Ratiu Visiting Professor für Rumänienstudien an der Georgetown University. Als Historikerin des modernen Osteuropas spezialisiert sie sich auf Holocaustforschung, sowjetische Nationalitätenpolitik, Antisemitismus und den Spätstalinismus. Sie war Stipendiatin am Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, am United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, am Wiener Wiesenthal Institut für Holocaust-Studien und am Imre Kertész Kolleg der Universität Jena, neben vielen anderen Einrichtungen.
Ihr zweites Buch, The State, Antisemitism, and Collaboration in the Holocaust: The Borderlands of Romania and the Soviet Union (Cambridge University Press, 2016), bietet eine vergleichende Studie über interethnische Gewalt und Staatspolitik vor und während des Holocaust. Ihr neuestes Buch, Soviet Jews under Late Stalinism, erscheint demnächst bei Cambridge University Press. Außerdem arbeitet sie gemeinsam mit Chad Bryant und Kateřina Čapková an dem Buch The Slánský Trial: A New History (erscheint demnächst bei Oxford University Press).
Dr. Dumitru ist Mitglied der Herausgeberteams der Fachzeitschriften Holocaust and Genocide Studies, East European Jewish Affairs und Journal of Genocide Research.
