Ingrida Vilkiene

Ingrida Vilkiene is the coordinator of educational programs, Deputy director of the Secretariat of the International Commission for the Evaluation of the Crimes of the Nazi and Soviet Occupation Regimes in Lithuania.

She studied history at Vilnius Pedagogical University (1989 – 1994, Master Degree) and Educational management at Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences (2014 – 2016, Master Degree). Ingrida Vilkiene worked in Kaunas IX Fort Museum and also as a teacher of history in school. 

Since 2005, she has been working for the International Commission. Ingrida Vilkiene is responsible for organizing educational activities (projects, seminars, conferences). Since 2004 the International Commission started creat the network of Tolerance Educational Centers (TEC) in Lithuania’s schools and other educational institutions. At this moment there are 172  TEC in this network and Ingrida Vilkiene constantly keeps in touch with Tolerance Educational Centers – initiates schools’ projects and commemoration of Historical Remembrance Days and etc. She organizes seminars for teachers which take place in different cities and towns of Lithuania.
