On the occasion of The National day of Commemorating the Holocaust in Romania- October 9, the students and the teachers from Liceul Teoretic „Iulia Hasdeu” Lugoj have organized many special activities. Thereby, in „The Holocaust Through Children’s Eyes” project, the students who are part of the „Jew’s History. The Holocaust” Circle, and other high school students, involved in a contest of drawings with themes that reflect The Holocaust. The best creations have been awarded. An exposition has been realized with those creations.
All within the project, which reached the sixth edition, on October 9, 2018, at the Synagogue in Lugoj, alongside the president of The Jewish Community from Lugoj, Mr. Ivan Bloch, the students from „Jew’s History. The Holocaust” Circle presented a teaching material resulted from their activity in the Circle, in the school year 2017/2018: “Încălcarea drepturilor omului în perioada Holocaustului în Jurnalul lui Mihail Sebastian. O istrorie grafică / Human Rights Violation During the Holocaust in Mihail Sebastian's Journal. A Graphic History”.
To carry out the project and for the printing the teaching material, Liceul Teoretic „Iulia Hasdeu” Lugoj had received a funding from Consiliul Județean Timiș and from Olga Lengyel Institute from The U.S.A.
